Right Now #1

READING
When I discovered Heather Lindsey's blog I was immediately blown away. She is truly a woman after God's own heart who candidly shares her life story while encouraging women out there. Blogging specifically about a relationship with God, she guides her readers [mostly women] on how to improve their relationship with God as well as men. She is also an author of Pink Lips and Empty Hearts. I picked this up a while ago but have been busy with life. However, this weekend I will be indulging in this and if it is anything like her posts, I will be done with it immediately. Check her blog out and see for yourself.

LISTENING
As much as I am a creature of habit to a certain extent, there are still areas of my life that I love to experiment on. Finding new artists/musicians/bands/music [whatever] is one of those things. Listening to mostly Hillsong music, I wanted to see what else was out there.
Jesus Culture and Kierra Sheard's album Free are just a few that have been on replay [I fear Spotify may restrict the number of times I play them]. Spirit break out and Your love never fails are my favorite songs from Jesus Culture while Mighty, You are, Desire and Free are my absolute favorite from Kierra Sheard.
WATCHING
I have been a fan of The Office for a while but I wasn't consistently following it episode by episode and I must have stopped watching it awhile ago when it was either at season 4 or 5. I decided to check on the mischief Dwight was up to by starting all over from season 1.   Wow. The office is cracking me up real bad. And why does Micheal have a lot of anger towards Toby? Hilarious. I have reached season 5 and can't wait to get to the current season where I heard something about Micheal leaving :( [sad]. Which are your favorite episodes?
What are you up to right now? Planning a trip? Trying something new? Let me know.

Personal Microderm

I wouldn't say I have a heavy load of acne going on. But if I had the option of getting a much clearer complexion, I guess myself as well as you would definitely say YES :). My skin is oily so yeh it is prone to acne and during a certain time in the month, lets just say I get 2 - 3 visitors on my face.

In the past I pinched every one of them and this left scars, which is when I became a bit fussy about my skin and pimples. I can say I have invested in a number of "tubes" that promise relief, some funny green antibiotic tablets, masks and even facials but found that either these didn't offer long lasting effects or I wasn't patient with them.

Recently I decided to do some research and at least give this skin business one final try. I found that many blogs, YouTubers and websites talked about microdermabrasion. Scary right. Basically, it is a process by which you exfoliate the skin to enable the growth of skin cells that repair the damaged skin. Why not give it a try? The PMD was one of the most raved about solutions. Its advantages - you can have it handy at home and use as you please [the cost of this process at the spa is ridiculous]. I picked up one with the attitude "what's the worst that could happen?"

*BENEFITS
I personally use it whenever I feel a pimple coming. Once I use it, I am clear of that.
Since I started using the PMD, I have gotten less pimples.
My scars and blemishes have reduced
It leaves your skin feeling really really soft and glowing
During winter, my body got dry patches. I used this to take those dry flakes off and found that my body butter sunk in much faster with better results.

It is expensive. However, I would really recommend this especially if you want to see an improvement in your troubled skin.

Do you have the PMD? Let me know your experiences.

Dauphinoise Potatoes

If you love a good old creamy dish, this is for you. So recently I used some double cream to make a dish and had a whole lot left over. Thankfully, I also had some potatoes. So I decided to experiment on this French cuisine. It is so easy to make and takes about an hour to prepare with the least number of ingredients.
*THE INGREDIENTS

Bag of potatoes [depending on the number of people you plan to feed] / Salt to taste / Black Pepper / Double Cream / Garlic clove or paste.
*THE PROCESS
Cut the potatoes thinly and place in water as you cut
Lay the potatoes in a mixing bowl without the water
Crush and mix the garlic into the potatoes
Dash salt and pepper and mix
Place the mixture onto a baking tray/casserole and pour cream over it
Ensure that the potatoes are lying flat on top of each other
Place your casserole into the oven to bake
Once you have a golden top and the potatoes have softened, you are ready to feast.
Let me know if you loved the taste of this dish as much as I did.
